Colors enlighten everyone's life and the festival of Holi is one of those special festivals which is the most awaited and enjoyed.
Holi -one of the most joyful and loved festivals is played all over India.
This festival of spring indicates the beginning of this flowering season and is responsible for bringing happiness and joy in human lives. People spread love and enjoy the day by putting colors on each other. It is loved by children and with their full zeal and enthusiasm, they splash water on their mates. Well, most of us know the events organised on the day but it is equally important to know its historical descent as well.

HISTORY
It is celebrated to enjoy the victory of Lord Vishnu and the defeat of the King, Harinyakashipu and his sister, Holika, who got burnt in the fire. This is the reason  that one day before Holi, there is HOLIKA DEHEN and that is known as choti Holi.
It also marks the new year according to the Hindu calendar. This festival also indicates the love between Lord Krishna and Radha. 


In this festival people dance, sing, play and enjoy and the same is celebrated in other countries too.
