 HOW ARE BLACK HOLES FORMED??

It is the bitter truth of life that each one of us has to die one day, and so do the stars. The black holes are formed as a result of the death of a star.

HOW DO STARS DIE?

Well, Sun is a star, we all know, and inside the sun numerous reactions take place. The nuclei of two atoms fuse to form a single atom. Talking specifically, two H atoms fuse to form 1 He atom. And when the fuel, that is the driving force finishes, the star has died.

BLACK HOLE FORMATION

When a massive star dies, it collapses resulting in concentration of mass in a point-sized area. The following results in huge DENSITY and A GREATER GRAVITATIONAL FORCE, thus gaining the ability to absorb anything, even light..

The surroundings of the star disintegrate and that's a black hole.

Numerous black holes are present in Solar system. The closest confirmed black hole to Earth lies in a triple-star system called HR 6819, roughly 1,000 light-years away.
